Itinerary
Day 1 : Juliaca – Puno
Assistance on your arrival in Juliaca and transfer to the hotel in Puno, visiting on the way the Sillustani Burial Towers , made of stone cylinder burial ( 12mts. height ) where the Aymaras buried their high priests. The lagoon Umayo, located in front of the Chullpas , adds beauty to the place , the opportunity to observe birds and other wildlife of the area. Free time to rest and acclimatize to the altitude .
Day 2 : Lake Titicaca : Floating Islands of Uros and Amantani Island
Breakfast , we board a motor boat on Lake Titicaca to visit the floating islands of the Uros, ancient inhabitants of the lake, known as the Water Tribe , these Andean natives built their own islands by periodically adding new layers of reeds , also use this material to build houses and boats . After sharing their traditions with the inhabitants of the island , then trek to Amantani Island , inhabited by Quechua-speaking natives who still live according to their ancient traditions and whose main occupations in the manufacture of ceramics and fine fabrics . The positive energy of this island is so powerful it is known as the ” Island of Love ” Refreshments . Overnight at the house of a local islander to enjoy the hospitality of a typical Amantani home .
Day 3 : Lake Titicaca : Amantani Island and Taquile – Puno
Breakfast , free time to walk around the island. By mid-morning , we will have an unforgettable motorboat excursion on Lake Titicaca to Taquile Island , inhabited by Quechua-speaking natives who have developed through generations , both efficient and unique social system , as one of the best hand weaving techniques in the world. After lunch at a local Taquile inn , walk through the various hills and archaeological sites. In the afternoon return to Puno and transfer to hotel.
Day 4 : Puno – Juliaca
Breakfast , A Time Coordinated transfer to Juliaca airport to board your flight. End of our services.
